Interview Comments:
The position was actually at IBT not State Street, but IBT was bought by
State Street, so it seemed proper to write about them here. The interview
process wasn't terribly complicated. I chatted with my future manager for
about an hour about all things Java, after which followed an HR interview.
Simple enough.
Mostly questions about my school experience, Java, etc. No really hard
technical questions. Just had a nice chat over coffee. The HR interview is
pretty straightforward as well. Was asked the basic questions about how well
I work in groups, how I problem solve, etc. Again, nothing to stress out
about.
Just relax. Everyone was very nice and professional.

Compensation Comments:
Can't really comment on this.
I was just an intern here so I'm not 100% familiar with salaries and other
perks. In general though, it seemed as if people weren't terribly happy with
their compensation. A friend of mine interviewed @ IBT and was told his
salary would be somewhere around $35k for a financial position. I'm thinking
they can do better than that.
Not too many perks for interns really. Over the summer, they had a few
workshops to work on interview skills & resume writing. Also, there was a
week-long 'employee appreciation week' which had a bunch of cool activities
that interns and regular employees can participate in. That wasn't too bad.

Work Environment Comments:
The internship position turned out to be really good. I was fully integrated
into the development team and learned a ton. This definitely helped me in my
future job searches and turned out to be a great experience overall. Can't
beat the location either - you're working above Copley Mall!
