Total Hours Interviewed: 4 Interview Comments: If they like your resume, they'll ask you for an on-campus interview. This is pretty simple. The HR person really just wanted to know what I was interested in and see if my interests can be matched to any position within Akamai. Then, I heard from (another) HR person that they wanted to have me in for an interview. This guy was not terribly friendly. He kept asking me all sorts of really stupid HR questions which all seemed to be the same questions. I asked at one point if I had already answered that question, and he seemed to imply that I should answer it again. Really weird experience. That took about 30 minutes time, but the tech stuff wasn't so bad. Was mainly asked questions about Java; difference between abstract classes and interfaces, some JSF questions mainly about the faces-config.xml file, was asked to implement bubblesort on the white board, and was asked a bunch of questions on SQL and my overall experience with Java Webapps, Struts, etc. None of the questions were extremely hard - I just wish I gave better answers for JSF. I hadn't touched the stuff in a while, so I had forgotten some of the basics. Bad idea - review everything on your resume before you head out to an interview. Overall though, it wasn't a scary experience. |
